How did you choose your profession/why?

Growing up, I would ask for arts and crafts materials for every birthday and holiday. Between sports and after-school activities, I always came back to drawing as my outlet. I discovered what a graphic designer was while taking a digital design class in high school. My teacher sat me down and explained that this was really a career path I could take. Since then, I’ve pursued my career passionately, and without doubt, this is what I am meant to be doing.

How has your own college education directly translated to success at Spark451 and why?

I received an amazing college education at Hartford Art School and had a great experience attending the University of Hartford. Over those four years, I made lifelong friends, connected with incredibly talented industry professionals, and felt like the school really had my back as I started my career.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given and why?

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is to not take life too seriously! It’s important to be able to go with the flow and remember that not everything is that deep.

Where is the place you want to visit most in the world and why?

I’ve always wanted to visit Alaska. Having watched tons of shows on the Discovery Channel, I find the climate and the wildlife so intimidating, but fascinating. I would love to visit during the aurora season and see the northern lights!
