Associate Account Executive
AKA “Helpful Hedquist“
As an associate account executive, Emily acts as a liaison between her clients and various departments within Spark451. Our partners can count on Emily to ensure their projects are completed efficiently. A graduate of Binghamton University, Emily has previous experience as a marketing intern.
What do you love most about working in higher education?
When I was in high school, I was so excited to receive marketing materials from different colleges, and they helped me to decide which school I wanted to attend. It's really rewarding to be a part of that process now and to know that I’m helping students decide which college is the best fit for them!
How did you choose your profession?
I view myself as both an analytical and creative thinker, and I feel marketing provides the perfect blend of those two ways of thinking. I also love how much variety there is in marketing. There are so many different directions you can go in, so you’re always learning something new!
What is your favorite quote?
My favorite quote is, “Happiness can be found in even the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.” I love this quote because it reminds me to always look for the bright side in any situation.
Where in the world do you want to visit the most?
I would love to visit Finland because I want to stay in one of the glass igloo hotels and see the Northern Lights!
